In June 2021, bulldozers rolled in overnight to demolish a large part of Rockefeller Park. We protested and it resulted in an apology by the Governor and Authority... and a new Battery Park City Neighborhood Association

Locals and our Community Board 1 have been providing feedback on the Authority's Wagner Park project since 2016 and the main substance of that feedback - keep the park intact - has been ignored. The community has an alternative plan. Learn more below.

The Northwest Resiliency project's early plans have been scrapped and a new team brought on as of September 2022. The BPCNA is working to ensure the public feedback is heard and incorporated.
