The BPCNA plays a leadership role in the protection of our green spaces. We started with #PausetheSaws and then #SaveWagnerPark and will continue protecting Rockefeller Park.
We support nature-based resiliency projects that prioritizes existing green infrastructure, preserves mature trees and will both protect from climate risks and prevent climate risks.
The BPCNA partners with other organizations in pursuing legislation to get local representation on the Battery Park City Authority Board.
We believe primary BPC residents should hold a majority of the positions on the BPCA board and their performance should be evaluated by the community.
The BPCNA takes a supportive role to our sister organizations, the Battery Alliance and Homeowner Coalition, in ensuring that Battery Park City remains affordable.
We believe that residents and small businesses deserve the same ground rent deal that the Authority has given to corporations such as Brookfield - frozen ground rent to 2069.
The BPCNA will take a supportive role to CB1 or other community members with respect to Congestion Pricing.
We will work with local elected officials to refine a position.
100% of all money raised has been used to cover legal fees. As of March 2023, we will start to use 100% of this money to benefit work on all Battery Park City resiliency projects.
